Quick blip today. Had an optician's appointment in town this morning, and as I was two thirds of the way to my sister's house, I decided to call and see her too.

Orkney is a group of small islands and she lives on the main one - called, confusingly enough, Mainland - whereas we live on a different one. So, although we are both in Orkney, we are a 45 mins drive from each other, and we tend just to meet up in town. Due to health problems, she can't drive at the moment, so I took her some bere bannocks to keep her going!
