Last days of summer
Two weeks without broadband caused by the big lightning storm and a landslide of work to climb out of have meant little walking and even less photographing.
Managed to take a day off and enjoy the warm sunny day, with its distinctive late summer feel. Fields full of ripe barley and verges full of seed heads. Still a few vivid splashes of colour and butterflies flitting around.
And midgies! We rarely get midgies here. But a warm sunny day with barely a breeze and they appear from nowhere. Tried doing some tai chi in the garden and had to retreat. Still, I guess they want to make the most of what’s left of the summer as well.
