Today we were heading home. However having come so far down country and having no reason to rush home we decided to visit Barton Grange Garden Centre, a favourite of Kanyl and his late wife. I have to admit to a little trepidation not having mixed with many people since Covid.
I needn't have worried there was sufficient space and few enough people for distances greater than social. It was interesting to wander round and see plants not on offer in our local garden centres, but strange for there to be nowhere where the plants were truly outdoors. All areas had as a minimum a translucent roof.
The blip is a statue of the founder on a seat just as you enter the centre. For a man who according to the plaque likes to say hello he was being a bit standoffish not allowing anyone to sit beside him. There was room for two other people! A sign of the times I suppose.
