Bamboo shoots

We have this bamboo hedge that we planted 15 years or so ago and it has got a bit carried away.

Had a major chop back a couple of months ago and a little trimming at the beginning of August before we went to France.

Now look at it!  These branches have just shot up.  The big deal is that it is over the pond, so care has to be taken when getting up close and personal to cut them down.

Could do with a panda.
