Goodrich Walk
Day 159 of COVID-19 UK lockdown (opening up)
Our good friends (and former work colleague, John) and his wife Stella, who lived near us before we moved, visited us at midday to see our new home. After a couple of hours chatting, and the sun out, we went for a walk of our village, Goodrich.
The blipfoto is of The Hostelrie in the centre of the village which dates from 1625 (internally) with the external being changed to a gothic appearance from 1845.
The extra is of St Giles Church, Goodrich a few hundred metres away which dates from 1196 (much is from 13th century) where the door was open and we had our first look inside. Fabulous history and stained glass windows.
We're out with our neighbours tonight, at the local pub which has live music. We won't get much of a lay in tomorrow (Bank Holiday) as an electrician is doing some work on our lofts.
