Monday: Winsome Invalid

Well, my cold has turned into a corker so I have taken to my sick bed for the day.  K. had an e-mail exchange with a colleague at work about what we needed to ask for if she went to the chemist to get me some decongestants and it turns out that she needed to ask for 'decongestiv', which was straightforward enough.  These language barriers are often not as complicated as you think!  Anyway, they are doing the trick.

If I tell you that here I am trying to read 'The Spirit of Parliament', an introduction to parliament written in 1908, you might understand why I have dozed more than I have read. Today has been a good excuse to watch 'Brief Encounter' though, one of my favourite movies.

I think I have quite a lot of grey hair......
