Twelve Bens from Inishbofin
Lovely day on Bofin today, no rain. Got so many pictures of Sanderlings and Ringed Plovers this morning that I couldn't decide which one to post and just went of a landscape of the Twelve Bens of Connemara against the green of Inishbofin. The white tower is a navigational beacon, one of three that are aids for shipping coming into Inishbofin harbour. I'm not sure when they were built but apparently they were on the first Ordinance Survey maps of the 1840s. Got a swim in before getting the ferry back to Cleggan on the mainland this afternoon.
