Felt like Autumn

I know it is Autumn when I start wearing my tweed jacket, and today I had it on. The pin in the lapel is quite small and I lost a stone a few years ago so the very talented silversmith in Corbridge did a very good repair and filled the gap with silver.
Daughter went to London for the weekend and forgot to let me know she got there safely so I was worried but didn’t want to contact her incase she was stuck in traffic. She remembered after a couple of hours and messaged me.
Walk this morning and hubby picked up a selection of goodies from the bakery. He has done quite a job on one of the holly bushes this afternoon and it now has a nice shape and won’t attack me when I am sitting in the swinging seat. Made a rather nice dinner with stir fry veg in chilli and ginger on an omelette with noodles.
I gave in this afternoon and put the heating on, I try not to before the end of August but I was really cold in the house during the night and when I got back from my walk this afternoon. So really does feel like Autumn is here.
