A walk in the woods

So today was supposed to be a brighter day but it was pretty grey mostly. I filled my time making more granny squares and tacking the ironing before heading to my friends house for 6.30 to walk with her lovely dog.

Shorter walk than last time up a very steep hill where I spotted this wonderful tree bark. I can see an owl I think.

Quick cup of tea and a slice of delicious cake with marscapone icing before I headed home just before 9 for my delayed dinner.
