Memorial to Jeremiah Horrocks.

One of Britain's most outstanding and overlooked astronomers.
This stone stands in the village of Bretherton (Much Hoole) where he served in some capacity at the Church. There are two stained glass windows as a memorial to him in the church. There is also a plaque in Westminster Abbey.
