Hints of blue

Yet another cold, gloomy, grey day and, until late afternoon, wet too.
Stripped a bit more of the wallpaper off the wall in the hall - beginning to wonder if the previous occupants stuck it on with superglue!

We set out for a walk after our evening meal, up to Humbleton village and back through Low Humbleton, a small hamlet. The sky looked ominous, but as we reached Humbleton there were a few breaks in the cloud, with a just hint of blue peaking through. It didn't last for long though, and by the time we reached the flat, it was getting dark. A stark reminder that the nights are, indeed, drawing in...
Winter is coming, and I suspect that it will be a long, dark one in many ways.
