Eight Months Later
One of my neighbours has a ten acre block, which, until the fires earlier this year was covered in radiata pines, apart from the areas with native bush.
The ones that weren't burnt were in danger of falling, and so hundreds have been removed in the last six months.
It's been a massive task, and is ongoing.
I dropped in to check out the progress and have a chat.
It was dusk and the escarpment looked a picture.
