Church Stile House
Church Stile House is one of the oldest buildings in the village of Cobham. It was built circa 1432 and then rebuilt in 1624. It is a beautiful Grade II listed building right in the heart of the village, a timber framed house with a jettied first floor.
Every time I go past I admire how beautiful it is, but sitting adjacent to St Andrews church and its graveyard, I wonder what it must be like to live in such a beautiful house being constantly watched by the graves...and the dead....!!
