HPB Buckland Court, Broadway

Woo hoo!  This morning at 9.25 I managed to bag another cancellation with the HPB - a week in the Cotswolds. The catch was that we needed to go TODAY.....eek! 
So, first we had to do the weekly shop for us and my parents, then pack and then drive the 2.5 hours to the small site. 
By the time we left home it was around 2pm - with an arrival in mind of between 4.30 and 5pm. What we hadn’t counted on was a delay Of over an hour on the M6 due to an RTA involving 2 HGV vehicles and 2 saloon cars. It must have only just happened as we were less than half a mile from the front of the queue and the motorway was closed for an hour. Therefore we arrived at 18.30 instead. Now we are frantically trying to plan our week and researching the area. With it being Bank Holiday weekend we will need to try and avoid the more touristy areas and attractions. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know of any bird/nature related things to do. 

We are in a self catering 2-bed cottage on a very small site - just 12 properties, but they are beautifully appointed. My main blip is one of the bedrooms and the open plan living area is in extras. Not sure how much commenting I’ll get done this week. Let’s see. Enjoy the weekend everyone and stay safe.
