Thistledown

In the morning Clickychick was out for a run so I was out on the bike.  The textures of these thistle heads caught my eye, so I stopped and took a few shots.  While I was doing this I could hear Greylag geese calling.  I could see a flock a couple of fields away. SO camera away and back on the bike, only to startle into flight the pair which were by the stream 50 yards away!!

In the afternoon the Buddleia was teeming with butterflies so a few shots for the "Get Cumbria Buzzing" records rounded off by a relaxing sit in the sun, after getting things ready for a couple of days away with Kanyl in the camper.
