Ron McCormick
Day 157 of COVID-19 UK lockdown (opening up)
A really wet day with spells of sun in between, Mrs BB was happy to be dropped at her leisure club whilst I went to the Westgate Hotel, Newport (South Wales, UK) which was hosting an exhibition of local artists work. It was also a chance to see the interior of this closed building which is famous for the Newport Rising of 1839.
Ron McCormick the famous photographer and author was there showing some of his latest work. Some of his work has been purchased by The Martin Parr Foundation. I loved his exhibition of How Green Was My Valley about the South Wales valleys and coal mining. We chatted for ages - a lovely bloke.
The main shows some of his latest work and the extra is a portrait photograph of him.
