Many long time moons ago, as a very young Runner every August I would compete at the South Island Cross Country Champs and our changing room was this old school. I can remember the extremely cold weather, crystal clear Blue Skies and about -5 or 6 maybe a bit more. In 1978 our Team won the Timaru Lions Cup in the Under 18 boys Race. That would now be 42 years ago.
