Empty Edinburgh
Not completely deserted, of course, but considering Edinburgh is normally heaving and in full festival mode at this time of year, it was extremely quiet. I went into town briefly and walked along Princes Street to get a quieter bus home and was struck by how subdued everywhere felt- I didn't feel like lingering.
This view is of Princes Street Gardens, looking over to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh's medieval quarter. The building with the green dome is the head office of the Bank of Scotland.
