Bones and feathers

Last week I did an online sketching course with textile artist Gillian Cooper. My theme for the week was “bones and feathers”, objects I had picked up on the local Ochils.
 
Not sure if this qualifies for abstract Thursday challenge  “home made”.
 
This afternoon I traded in I my second hand SLR camera and used the money to buy a new battery for my laptop. Sadly I have finally realized my limitations: I will never have the patience to carry around a big heavy camera and fiddle with all the settings in order to take a photo when I can just whip out my IPhone.
