Making an entrance
My Scottish cousins and I arranged to meet for lunch in the Warwickshire village of Bidford-on-Avon. I arrived by car from London and they by boat an hour or so later. delayed by extensive rain and storms.
The landlady of 'The Bridge Inn' kindly fed me brie and cranberries until they arrived.
It's the first time they'd been in a pub since before lockdown and it was all terribly exciting.
The rest of the diners were local so didn't know what all the fuss was about.
