64 Up!
Good Lord, don’t they just fly past. So, a day of top ents had been laid on, starting with a fine breakfast at Porto & Fi, before returning for the grand present opening. And what great gifts - amongst other things, Witcher:Wild Hunt for the PS4, a classic watering can, and at long last, Dubarry Ultima sailing boots. I think with the old tub people would have guffawed at the conceit, but, well, with a Sadler, that’s just part of the lifestyle, right? Rather like having an open top sports car - a moustache and cravat is suddenly so necessary.
And then a film - for yes, the movie theatres are open again! And you only need to keep your mask on if you’re not eating. I ate. And ate. For it was Nolan’s long awaited Tenet. A great big nonsense of a film, where you go both forward and backward in time. I must admit that the complexity didn’t add much for me. Couldn’t they just defuse the bomb as the clock ticks to zero as is traditional, rather than using temporal pincer movements? Still, great!
Then to the Diggers where the six of us got the wee snug for natters. Weighty matters, such as if squirrels didn’t have bushy tails what would we make of them, and aren’t seagulls worse than ever at the moment. Who needs time travel?
