Flowers that survived the rain.

These beautiful flowers are survivors of the strong wind and rain yesterday. It is much calmer today but cold and less sunshine.The sunflowers in the neighbourhood are looking bedraggled and the petunias have taken a battering.
I have enjoyed the beauty of August and soon it will be time for the local school children to return to their classrooms, with health and safety measures in place that they and their teachers could not have imagined at this time last year.
