Duck

What a lot of ducks at the pond in Johnston Gardens today. There seemed to be more than usual, but maybe that was just my imagination

I was a little concerned to see the ducks were exploring the nest previously occupied by a moorhen. It turned out I need not have worried. I saw her a little later accompanied by one or two miniature moorhens, smaller puffier versions of mum. (Still no sign of dad).  They seem to have left the nest and taken up residence amongst the reeds on one of the small islands in the pond.

Another cloudy day, quite cool, but no rain.
