Lunch Break
On my way to do errands today, I stopped at a Black-tailed Prairie Dog town to look for a blip. There are towns dotting about 3 miles of shoreline around a local lake and the information sign says that they are probably all connected by tunnels. It was midday, so I think most were in their burrows but this nursing mama was busy fueling up to feed her babies. It's hard to tell from this shot but she looked pretty full of milk.
If you didn't guess, my mystery macro yesterday is my sewing machine foot and fabric guide. :-)
There was less fire activity last night so our air is a little clearer today and there is even some light blue showing. I am grateful that rain and cooler weather are expected over the next few days! According to the long range forecast, this should be the last week in the 90s for the year. I really hope it's right!
I have a Zoom meeting in a few minutes, then dinner which leaves very little time for Blip. I hope to come back later and sprinkle stars. xx
