National Dog Day

Apparently today is designated as "National Dog Day", so in honour of all dogs, especially the many I have known and loved over the years, here is a collection of some of my favourite pups -- the two little paintings were both done by dear friends in memory of my beloved Sally who left us all too soon six years ago, but is still lovingly remembered every day. The little drawing in the round frame was done by grandson Elliott of Mabel, and the sculpture of the black Labrador serves as a fond reminder of our big, lovely, gentle galoot BB , as well as the other labs we've adored over the years:  Ridge, Minnie, Hefty, and Mark.  I can't imagine life dogless!
