Crime wave?

It’s coming up to the first anniversary of our move to Cumbria and today I saw a major police presence for the first time. I saw one police saloon car and two vans (or it might have been one van twice).
I asked the guys resurfacing the road what they had been doing to cause such a police presence and they said ‘nothing’. :-))
It was market day again today and I bought some fish from the excellent fish stall.
