Bake-off in my kitchen!
Well, not really a bake-off as there was only me baking.
Does that mean I win?!
Yay!
Paul Hollywood is invited round to my kitchen anytime, by the way.
I could've been in the great outdoors today, but as Peter Kay would say, it were spittin'!
And I wouldn't want to get my camera wet.
Some slightly(?) mad people were running about all over Winter Hill with someone one timing their movements, much like a lot of them did yesterday too.
Running, that is.
Why?!
It's 'orrible out there at this time of year.
It's February.
It's cold.
It's Lancashire!
It will be warm(er) soon!!
Which is why I stopped in and made soda bread and Dutch vanilla biscuits instead.
Warm and dry.
And yes, the two different sorts of biscuits on the plate on the left are the same ingredients.
Half were baked on one shelf on a baking tray and the other half were on a different shelf on stoneware.
The pale ones were on the top shelf too.
They cooked differently and they tasted different too.
Erm, has anyone got Paul Hollywood's telephone number? I would like to have him in my kitchen... to ask his opinion on my biscuits, of course!
Failing that... Dr Brian Cox maybe.
He knows about the universe and biscuits maybe...?
