Nature's Wrath

Carol is staying with us for a few days and after a picnic lunch we took her out the back and around the fire trail.

This is the Natural World (RockArea's wide challenge) after the bushfires in January. 
It looks a bit bleak here but in the afternoon sun it really has a stark beauty.
The fire was more severe here than on other parts of our property but recovery is slowly coming.
