Light Pollution (back blip for Sat)
Sharon and I spent the weekend out of London in Birmingham. On Saturday evening, we went with a group of friends to an excellent meal at a Lebanese restaurant, where the waiter seemed oddly reluctant to believe that we wanted rice rather than chips with our meal; he had perhaps recently had bad experiences with obviously non-Lebanese customers.
On the way back, we saw this tower block lighting up the drizzle in the West Midlands sky. As you can see, a band of blue light adorns the top of the building, with beams spreading out like beacons at the corners.
