For most of today it has rained. A lot. Like someone was tipping a giant bowl of water over the house and garden.Thankfully it wasn't very windy so the trees didn't suffer too much.

About 4 o'clock in the afternoon, it just turned into ordinary rain, so I put on my waterproofs and headed out for a walk. This was the Cairn Water in spate - mighty powerful..

I needed a rainy day to get on with my reading of "Dombey and Son" which I should finish by the end of the month. Up until now I have enjoyed the Dickens challenge, but I'm struggling with this one. 

I also watched a talk which Joe sent me by Frank Abagnale, the man whose life Steven Spielberg depicted in the film "Catch Me If You Can". Much more enjoyable.
