August?

Wild, windy, wet and cold day today - the heating even came on! Thought a long exposure would show the trees outside as they swung around in the wind.
Spent all day at the desk (well, kitchen table!) in a series of ok meetings although in the afternoon it became clear just how high emotions are running at the moment. Focussing on trying to keep everyone calm whilst acknowledging the many real concerns.....a job in itself!
Over supper I watched the Bernadine Evaristo/Nicola Sturgeon interview from Saturday's book festival ...very good. I loved her Girl Woman Other book and she was a very engaging speaker - apparently (can't imagine how!) she doesn't plan the detail of her books out, even when the storylines interweave in such a complex way as G,W,O, but lets it develop organically.
Caught up with some tricky emails afterwards and prepared for tomorrow's set of meetings
