New Year

The day dawned overcast, and before long the snow arrived. Not a blizzard but persistent on and off all day, though it never really got a grip on the ground. By the evening the wind arrived and was truly chilling.

Seemed like a good day to head out for a breakfast of poached egg and venison sausage, which we duly did. In the afternoon I thought we would go to see an exhibition of Eric Auld at the Art Gallery. I either got the venue wrong or it was a figment of my imagination. There was instead an exhibition of fashion photography of the 20th Century, so not an entirely wasted trip.

The day concluded with dinner at the Holiday Inn. A good way to end the day, which if we were Chinese would be the first day of the New Year.
