Green cake

Chan mansions, Chinese New Year's Eve
I wish I could blip a flavour or scent because this cake merited it - I used to have pandan leaf in recipes as a child but haven't had some in years. Not quite a Proust-Madeleine moment (there's the cultural reference for the day, sorry it's not Chinese) but it did take me back to Indonesia briefly and was delicious.
I was going to blip it out of the case so you could appreciate the greenness (it's the colour of pistachio ice cream) but then I noticed the text - the cake that comes with an attention warning is few and far between.
Lovely evening - many buns, an entire roast duck, a glut of stuffed squid, gyoza, and cake meant we saw off the dragon with very full bellies.
