Plates And Plants Purchased

A family trip into York this morning for Eldest to stock up on house stuff for going back to university next month, for Sushi to show J the best places to indulge their shared love of indoor houseplants and for us all to have lunch at Bill’s. We had such a nice time, plates and plants purchased and with the ‘eat out to help out’ discount our huge lunch was real value for money. This rather regal fellow was observing the world go by from above the doorway of the church across from the restaurant.

Later this evening I went up to see China and I had agreed to meet Ali on Monty to go for a walk out through the fields, with me and China walking and her riding. Eldest and J decided to come too. We had a nice walk in the evening sunshine and as we also took Mel’s dog Buddy there was quite a gang of us, walking through the field of cows, they were definitely more wary of us than we were of them.

We were rather surprised and delighted to receive the insurance money back today for our cancelled holiday accommodation in France...it took less than two weeks to process and pay our claim..I thought we would be waiting for months...though we are still waiting for our Eurotunnel refund!
