First day back

I loved my first day back at work. 5 months of lockdown certainly made me appreciate my job even more! It was a full on day which began with 300+ emails to be dealt with. I did manage to sort them all and only leave a dozen or so that require thought to reply to tomorrow. Six of those are enquiries for educational trips in term 1, which was heartening. I caught up with a few members of staff and arranged some meetings for next week. I attended a meeting re the planning of a special day planned for next month.

The only downside was the state of my education centre (photo)! In order to be able to deliver sessions or workshops or even use as a lunch room, it has to be Covid risk assessed and that’s looking like quite a task at the moment!
