Roamin'
Despite the rain we popped out today to see one of the longest 'intact' bits of the Antonine Wall, starting at Rough Castle near the Falkirk Wheel. I always get this real sense of others who have gone before me walking these places - 2,000 years ago a whole load of soldiers digging up an earth bank in the back of beyond, probably for a force that had already conquered them.
And plenty trees to shelter under for a cuppa and a sarnie. Though this hole was a little too small to clamber into.
