What if?

Showy partridge pea

A complete change from yesterday! This is growing in our neighbor's field, which is seldom mowed and thus forbs tend to get a free hand! This is a native plant common throughout Kansas with the excception of the northwest. Chamaecrista fasciculata once classified as Cassia chamaecrista. The leaves, which can just be distinguished in this shot that was taken at a distance, are touch sensitive and will curl up like mimosa leaves.

I have to thank so many blippers for their stars, hearts and comments yesterday. You are all too kind. and the response was much appreciated. It was interesting to see the speculations about the discussion going on. I don't know what Shelby was telling them, but they either did not agree or were unbelieving. We had all been eating and hence the lack of masks. Shelby is very conscientious about wearing hers as she is in and out of many meetings during the course of a work day.
