RIP Andre

My heart is filled with sadness... My dear friend lost his battle with brain cancer today, only 4 months after being diagnosed. 
We, together with my other neighbour, walked our dogs nearly every day. This ex Professor of English, author of 24 books on Shakespeare, re-ignited my love of poetry. (He used to recite sonnets as he lay having radiation) We discussed religion, recipes, politics, the wonder of nature and our surroundings. He was much loved in our village, always ready to lend a helping hand...
