House leeks

I do like house leeks. I like the way the new little ones cram themselves in between the bigger ones until the whole space is packed full. Then they suddenly send up spectacular flowers. These are in a trough together with other varieties, some very small with a cobwebby surface. We used to have them in our garden when I was a child, maybe that is why they are special to me.
Our grass has greened up enough that it needed cutting. An amazing recovery.
