Teefer playing the part of Thomas!

"Poor old Thomas, poor old cat,
Lying snoozing on the mat,
Whisper softly as you brood,
Are your thoughts of love or food?

No thoughts of love for this poor cat,
A cruel master saw to that,
And as for love, no, and far far from it,
He's only thinking where to vomit!

This is a poem I remember from childhood but can find no reference as to who wrote it.
