A Stunning Day!

A good walk in the arboretum followed by an afternoon with the grandchildren (see extra...I don't often post photos of anything but flowers so here's a glimpse into my life!). Divine! 

A wander in the midday garden netted a lovely little Skipper who was flitting around on the lavender. The yellow finches are manic about the seeds from the cosmos in my big perennial border. I tried to catch a shot this morning but I'll need a tripod and more patience. They'll be on the sunflowers as soon as those seeds are ripe.
