Saffron and shadow

Saffron is spending much of the night at the fly screen watching night creatures outside, and also chasing anything moving inside (the odd gecko, stray moth, cricket and other creep crawly) and most of the day sleeping in the shade somewhere. Here she's just emerged from her extended siesta and is still a bit sleepy.
Today, apart from the usual swim, walk and garden jobs, I started processing the mounds of local fruit mounting up, and made fig chutney and pears stewed in wine.
