Old cash box
I had decided to try a different route for my morning walk and parked along the road. Got out of the car, walked until I saw something blippable, lifted the camera, and it wouldn't turn on! Oh no! After a slight moment of panic, I remembered that I'd forgotten to put the battery back in after it was recharged. So home I drove, put in the battery, and went back to the same parking spot. For years, I've driven by a farm stand that hasn't been operating for a long time and have often wanted to stop to take a photo. Today I walked by the stand. I'd noticed the old cash box from the car, but who knew there would be old coins in it? All dimes, I think. In my other journal, I posted a rusty old milk can that sits beside the stand.
I explored the community garden that I haven't gone into for years - expanded since then and an amazing number of different crops and flowers. Obviously there are some gardeners in the group! I enjoyed having a good look around from outside the fence, although none of the gates were locked and I could have gone in. Maybe next time. Noticed some specs hanging on the wire fence and added them as an extra.
Our neighbours Buffy and Alexander came over to borrow a sander. They brought a bouquet of dahlias and sweet peas and a bag of apples! I love when people reciprocate when there's no expectation to do so. I might blip a dahlia tomorrow. I've seen some beauties on blips. We had a quick social distancing visit with them, such a nice young couple.
