Fungi

We walked down to the grounds of Ettington Park Hotel today and when there on to a walk alongside the River Stour which they call the Kingfisher Walk.
After many attempts we still haven’t seen one but don’t doubt that they are somewhere there and perhaps we need to sit quietly until they appear.
We came across a tree trunk afterwards, close to the ruined church within the grounds, and on the trunk was this fungus. Can’t say that I have seen one like this before and will need to look it up to see what it’s called.
