Stone of Scone
A replica of the Stone of Scone, also known as the Stone of Destiny, on the Moot Hill at Scone Palace near Perth. This is the place where ancient Kings of Scotland were crowned, including MacBeth, King David, and Robert the Bruce. It’s quite amazing to thing you’re standing on the very spot where these events took place. The Stone was placed underneath the throne where the King was crowned. The real Stone will hopefully soon be housed in a new part of the nearby Perth Museum after a wee 800 or so year holiday down in London.
