Acorns Already?

This morning the girls and I walked in a cooler, drier air.   Everything was wet after the all day rains yesterday, the day before, the day before.........
It seems like it has rained for nearly 2 weeks.   I haven't even been out on my bike.
     The rain brought down loads of acorns from the Oak trees.   Actually, my girls have been eating acorns now, for nearly 2 weeks.  This is a driveway of one of our winter residents.   No-one has driven up or down the driveway....  you can see how litered the driveway is with acorns .   Is this another sign of fall?    The acorns are a back blip.   I discovered a day that was blank, I had thought I was good for every day, but it seems not........
