Lily pads.

Taking a stroll through a nice park in South Ribble earlier today, it was lovely to come across this Japanese garden. It was apparently closed during the pandemic but is now open again for the enjoyment of the general public.

There was a nice break in the rain & cloud of the day when the sun came out and created perfect conditions for this shot.

I have to admit to being a bit snooty about going for a walk when it doesn’t involve a good climb & a stunningly mountainous view but I was able to appreciate the flat, semi rural suburbia today of this city park and it really was quite pleasant. In actual fact, I was almost transported to Central Park, New York. Or at least, my own idea of what this is like, anyway.
