The View Over My Toes

In repose I watch
my world from my recliner.
I feel safer here.

I've spent a lot of time in my recliner since the world came to a halt. It is my happy place. My laptop is at the ready. My cell phone is beside me. It's an easy reach to the remote control for the fireplace.....I've grown accustomed to staying home. To venture out has its risks these days and is not in my comfort zone. 

This is not how I would normally spend my summer. I would prefer to be out exploring my region with my paints, camera and a painting pal.....Will I ever get my life back?
