Summer in the lakes

This photo shows that we did see some fleeting sunshine in the distance, though at this poi t at the start of our walk it was still dry. A lovely gentle 6 miler of which the first three were done in the dry, and the packed lunch, which included a delicious cake from Chester’s by the river, was eaten in the dry and then the return leg was on the wet side.
