Ulysses Dies At Dawn

So, Scoobyben is the drummer (and accordionist, and banjolier, and part-time pianist) for a nine-piece dieselpunk spacefolk cabaret band called The Mechanisms, and last night they played the Oxford Steampunk Soirée, along with steampunk band Pocketwatch. It was awesome.

Photography-wise, it was very dark, which is a shame, because it meant I could only get half-decent photos of the performers if they stood in very specific spots on the stage. I got a few that turned out looking quite nice despite that, but not as many as I'd have liked.

For Blip, I was torn between the composition of this one, and the colour and sharpness of one I took of Pocketwatch's cellist. Decisions, decisions!
